Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-English and half-Spanish woman, was born on April 16th, 1997 in Miami Florida. The mother of Dennis Alan Taylor, a former bank executive, as well as Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist, is Anya Taylor-Joy. Her father, an Argentinan of Scottish as well as English heritage is her mother. She is Spanish and has English roots. Taylor-Joy's siblings are four of her father's former marriage. The family was initially of Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria at the age of 6 when Taylor-Joy was born. Taylor Joy says that moving to England was extremely stressful. She refused to learn English and was hoping to return to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school following the moved from Northlands. Then she attended Queen's Gate School where she trained in ballet and appeared in school plays. At the age of 16 she left school and pursued a career as an actress full-time.
