Simone Biles

Simone Biles (born March 14 1997 Columbus Ohio U.S.) American gymnast, who was regarded as among the best athletes. She was the first gymnast from the United States to ever win four gold medals during the same Games. In Rio de Janeiro, she was also the first female to have won successive World All-Around championships. Biles was born in Spring Texas. Her grandparents Ronald Biles (and her sister Adria) adopted them. They grew in Houston's metropolitan area. Simone first became interested in gymnastics while she was just 6. Her coach Aimee Borman invited her to Bannon's Gymnastix which was where they went on a field trip. Biles achieved a silver medal at vault in 2010 and a bronze at the women's Junior Olympic National Championships. She then moved up to elite-level competitions in 2011. Two years after that Biles had a dominating performance in the sport. Her consistency, her vivacious character and her high level of challenge in her four events -- vault uneven bars balance beam floor exercise as well as floor exercises -- helped to set her apart.
